Why another calculator

Most airflow calculators subtract one catalog number from another. That number is measured in free air: a dust filter eats about a third of it, a radiator more. Ignore that and you can be off by a factor of two — which is how a build ends up dusty despite "positive pressure" on paper.

These tools account for the mounting, show a range instead of one confident-looking figure, and tell you when the answer is a close call. Where a number is an estimate, it says so.
